The winner of PlaceMakers' "Win the whole hog" comp and Damar makes it through the Dangerous Goods red tape.

A “huge milestone” for Damar

For Damar, 2017 saw the conclusion of a seven-year journey, resulting in the business becoming fully compliant as a dangerous goods facility.

This is no easy task and it’s noteworthy that Damar is justifiably proud to be the first company within the industry to gain such accreditation.

Damar says it is “immensely proud of the part each and every employee played in completing this initiative. Being fully compliant opens new and exciting opportunities for Damar, and we look forward to what transpires in 2018 and beyond.”

Who won “The Whole Hog”?

The lucky winner of PlaceMakers and Firth’s “Win the Whole Hog” competition was Carl Sandford, the owner of Certified Bricklayers from Mt Maunganui.

Carl was the lucky recipient of the Harley Davidson Iron 883 motorbike and $2,000 worth of accessories, which was handed over by Frank Leslie, Firth’s Head of Certified Operations, and Tim Baird, Commercial Account Manager at PlaceMakers Mt Maunganui.
