The first March movers & shakers are at Allegion, Bosch, Mitre 10 MEGA Rangiora, and Steel & Tube.

Craig Balfour, long time Smiths City manager, joined Mitre 10 MEGA Rangiora earlier this year. Ironically, by way of a hand over, he has been working alongside Lex Elgin, himself a former appliance channel mover & shaker, as far back as working with Noel Leeming (the man, not the national chain…)!

Sam Davidson (left) is Bosch NZ’s new Key Account Manager for Mitre 10. He brings a wealth of international sales and marketing experience from within the hardware industry, with extensive hand tool, power tool and accessories category experience. He has also held buying and marketing roles at Mitre 10.

Karen Fotheringham (right) has joined Allegion’s residential sales team headed by Angus Welton and will be responsible for central Auckland, Waikato and Bay of Plenty. With four years already under her belt in hardware, Karen worked in different industries in various roles requiring leadership, service and administration and this previous experience will also stand her in good stead.

Mark Malpass, Steel & Tube’s interim Chief Executive since Dave Taylor’s departure in September, has been appointed to the top job permanently. Mark is a former Fletcher Building and Fulton Hogan executive.
