Notice of two building trade shows and two green events.

2017 Green Property Summit (29 March 2017) at the Grand Millennium in Auckland hosts Property Council New Zealand and New Zealand Green Building Council’s bi-annual focus on commercial buildings, cities and communities. The “Future Cities post 2020” programme covers the latest initiatives in delivering green buildings and precincts, retrofitting existing buildings, the business case and environment including incentives and drivers, policies and opportunities for green buildings.

CoLab 2017 (21-22 March 2017) – PrefabNZ’s CoLab event at AUT in Auckland is going to be “brilliant, jam-packed, busy and brilliant”. An interactive, fun and thought-provoking conference that highlights innovative design and construction methods focusing on offsite/prefab projects, there atre international experts, site visits and collaborations.

2017 also sees a brace of Auckland-based building industry trade shows for the first time.

First up is the established biannual buildnz | designex pairing (25-27 June). Based at ASB Showgrounds in Auckland and usefully co-located with the National Safety Show, we’ll be finding out details of the usual extensive seminar programme and other visitor benefits any time now.

The newcomer last year, Auckland Build, is back again for 2017, running across 2-3 November, also at ASB Showgrounds. The organisers are promising twice as much exhibition floor space, new conferences and workshops on sustainability and BIM, all designed to double attendee levels from the 5,457 pre-registered visitors seen in 2016.
